Job Overview:

Bestfiler is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with hands-on knowledge of both UK and US tax systems to support our international client base. We need a professional who can manage day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain clean and accurate records, and support ongoing UK and US tax compliance.

Experience Required: 3–6 years of professional bookkeeping experience

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is confident working independently and communicating clearly with internal teams and clients. Karachi-based candidates are strongly preferred for this urgent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records

Record daily financial transactions including income and expenses

Reconcile bank and credit card statements

Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries

Maintain VAT records and support UK VAT returns

Support US sales tax entries, payroll postings, and basic federal/state tax reporting

Assist with UK Self Assessment and basic Corporation Tax support

Review, clean up, and organize existing books when required

Ensure compliance with HMRC and IRS regulations and deadlines

Coordinate with internal teams to resolve bookkeeping and tax-related queries

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience

Practical experience with both UK and US taxes

Strong knowledge of UK VAT and basic US tax compliance

Proven experience using QuickBooks Online (experience level must be stated)

Solid understanding of UK and US accounting principles

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills

Karachi-based location preferred

Available to start immediately
