Deputy Manager Finance

We're Hiring at PalmPay - Deputy Manager Finance 

📍 Lahore, Pakistan (On-Site)

PalmPay is looking for a detail-oriented Deputy Manager Finance to join our team in Lahore. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Deputy Manager Finance will run day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate books, a clean month-end close, timely financial and regulatory reporting, and tax compliance, while supervising junior finance staff in a fast-growing, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

>Manage the day-to-day accounting cycle, general ledger, payables, receivables, and bank/vendor reconciliations, maintaining accurate records in the company's ERP

>Prepare journals, schedules, and reconciliations; support timely group/HQ reporting- Prepare financial statements and management reports in line with IFRS, including IFRS 9 (ECL) and revenue recognition

>Handle tax and regulatory compliance, income tax, withholding tax, and provincial sales tax filings and support SECP/SBP regulatory reporting

>Support treasury operations, including cash-flow monitoring, bank facility administration, and payment processing

>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

>Support internal and external audits and help strengthen internal controls and financial policies

>Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness

Key Requirements

>Qualified/Part Qualified CA (ICAP), ACCA, or ICMA, or other equivalent qualification in Finance/Accounting qualified professionals early in their careers are also encouraged to apply

>4–6 years of relevant finance/accounting experience; background in an NBFC, bank, or other financial-services entity, or in an audit/advisory firm (Big Four preferred), is a strong advantage

>Sound working knowledge of IFRS; exposure to IFRS 9 (ECL) and revenue recognition is a plus

>Familiarity with Pakistani taxation (income tax, WHT, provincial sales tax) and SECP/SBP regulatory requirements

>Hands-on ERP experience and strong Excel skills

>Understanding of Islamic finance / Shariah-compliant products is desirable.

>Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
