AI Engineer

Trucare is hiring for the position of "AI Engineer".
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Salary: Market Competitive
Working Hours: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Mon - Fri)
Job Location: Saddar, Rawalpindi

The main requirements for this role are as follows:
🎓 Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or AI Engineering
2–3 years of experience in AI/ML development

📌 Core Technical Skills:
1. AI/ML Engineering Skills
• Proficiency in Python, especially with libraries like scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, or Transformers (Hugging Face).
• Experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, Mistral, etc.) and agent frameworks (e.g. OpenAI Agents SDK, AutoGPT, LangGraph, CrewAI).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, tool usage, memory management, and multi-agent orchestration.
2. Backend/API Engineering
• Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (FastAPI, Flask, etc.).
• Event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub, webhooks, queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka).
• Integration skills with health tech APIs (e.g. EHR/EMR APIs, insurance APIs, eligibility checks).

3. Data Engineering + Processing
• Experience with ETL pipelines, working with structured/unstructured healthcare data (EOBs, 835/837, HL7, FHIR).
• Working knowledge of OCR/Document parsing (Tesseract, Azure Form Recognizer, Google Document AI).
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL for data modeling.

4. DevOps & Deployment
• Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for deploying and scaling AI agents.
• Version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and experience with observability tools for agents (e.g. LangSmith, Honeycomb, Prometheus)

✅ Domain Knowledge (Highly Preferred)
5. Healthcare/RCM Workflow Experience
• Experience in medical billing, claims lifecycle, denial management, or provider credentialing automation.
• Familiarity with terms like CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, claim adjudication, scrubbers, and TFL (Timely Filing Limits).

6. Agentic Thinking & Autonomy
• Demonstrated ability to break down complex workflows into discrete agent tasks and decision points.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration (critical in startup or MVP environments).

7. Communication & Documentation
• Ability to clearly document workflows, APIs, and decisions – key for healthcare compliance and audits.
• Past experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders (billing managers, operations leaders, compliance officers).

🌟 Bonus Qualifications:
• Publications or contributions to open-source agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant development practices.
• Past experience working with agent + human-in-the-loop setups.
