Hiring: Senior Shopify Developer

- About the Role

QMCC is looking for a seasoned Senior Shopify Developer to join our engineering team and take ownership of our commerce platform. You will architect and build high-performance storefronts, design and maintain custom app integrations, and serve as the technical authority on all things Shopify. This is an individual contributor role reporting to Team Lead,

- Key Responsibilities

.Develop and optimize custom Shopify themes using Liquid, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

.Build and maintain Shopify Custom/Public Apps using Node.js, REST Admin .API, GraphQL Storefront API, and Webhooks.

.Integrate ERPs, CRMs, PIMs, payment gateways, and fulfillment systems via REST and GraphQL APIs.

.Develop headless commerce solutions using Shopify Hydrogen, Remix, and Storefront API.

.Implement Shopify Functions, Checkout UI Extensions, and Post-Purchase Extensions.

.Lead technical design, architecture decisions, and feature scoping.

.Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and enforce engineering best practices.

.Monitor performance, platform health, Core Web Vitals, and resolve bottlenecks.

.Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to deliver scalable solutions.

- Required Qualifications

.8–10 years of software development experience.

.5+ years of hands-on Shopify development (themes and apps).

.Expert knowledge of Liquid, Shopify theme architecture, JavaScript (ES2020+), and TypeScript.

.Strong Node.js experience (Express, Fastify, or Koa).

.Experience with Shopify APIs, Webhooks, Shopify CLI, Polaris, Functions, and .Checkout Extensions.

.Expertise in third-party API integrations, OAuth, rate limiting, and event-driven architectures.

.Strong front-end skills with Tailwind CSS, CSS Grid/Flexbox, and responsive design.

.Experience with Hydrogen, Remix, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing (Jest, Vitest, Playwright).

.Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, multi-market Shopify setups, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Vercel).

.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

.Shopify App Store published apps.

.Shopify Plus and B2B/Wholesale experience.

.Composable commerce and MACH architecture knowledge.

.Open-source Shopify contributions.

.UX/UI or design systems background.

.Analytics integrations (Segment, Klaviyo, GA4).
