𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰

Switch Communications is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure & Network Security Engineer to manage the organization’s IT infrastructure, network, and security environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for ensuring system availability, performance, scalability, and security, while also leading and developing the IT team.

 

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬

- Lead and develop the IT & Infrastructure team through performance management and technical guidance.

- Manage server infrastructure across production environments.

- Administer firewalls, VPNs, and security controls.

- Manage SIEM monitoring, alerts, and incident investigations.

- Implement and enforce IT security policies.

- Conduct regular firewall and security audits to ensure compliance. 

- Manage Linux and Windows servers, including patching & hardening.

- Administer virtualization platforms such as Proxmox VE or VMware ESXi.

- Manage network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and ISP connectivity.

- Design and maintain secure VPN solutions for site-to-site and remote access.

- Oversee Microsoft 365, DNS, domain management, SSL certificates, and cloud services.

- Lead infrastructure and cybersecurity incident response.

- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams.

- Report monthly infrastructure and security KPIs to management.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.

- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure and Network Security.

- Strong experience in enterprise firewall administration (FortiGate or equivalent), IPS, application control, SSL inspection, and log analysis.

- Experience with Cisco ASA, pfSense, or similar firewalls, including NAT, VPN, and multi-WAN setups.

- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Wazuh), including deployment, monitoring, rule tuning, and incident response.

- Strong Linux system administration experience in production environments.

- Experience managing virtualization platforms (Proxmox VE or VMware ESXi).

- Strong understanding of network security principles, segmentation, access control, and threat detection.

- Experience with IPsec VPNs and secure remote access solutions.

- Microsoft 365 administration experience (Exchange Online, Azure AD, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender).

- Experience with DNS management, Cloudflare/CDNs, and web security tools.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝

- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher certification.

- CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or CompTIA Security+.

- Wazuh certification or SIEM training.

- Experience in telecom, ISP, or high-availability environments.

- Experience with vulnerability assessment and security scanning tools.

- VMware VCP or Proxmox certification.
