Position: Senior Database Administrator (Oracle)
Location: Islamabad

Job Summary:
The Senior Oracle DBA is responsible for independently managing production and DR Oracle database environments, including both RAC and standalone setups. The role includes performance tuning, patching, and proactive problem resolution to ensure database availability and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Oracle RAC and Standalone databases in production and non-production environments.
Perform performance tuning (AWR, ADDM, Indexes), query optimization, and configuration enhancements.
Execute patching, version upgrades, and compatibility testing.
Manage RMAN-based backup/recovery strategies and DR validations.
Troubleshoot incidents independently and participate in root cause analysis (RCA).
Contribute to automation of routine DBA tasks using shell scripts or tools.
Generate monthly reports on performance, capacity, and SLA compliance
Candidate Education/Experience/Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience: 4 - 6 years
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
Strong in SQL/PLSQL, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Oracle Grid Infrastructure and EM monitoring tools.
Linux OS competency for file system, memory, and CPU-level monitoring.
Soft Skills:
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and process adherence.
Ability to handle on-call support and collaborate across teams.
Good communication and task prioritization skills.
