Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Frontend Engineer with strong expertise in React and Astro to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance frontend applications. This role requires technical leadership, architectural ownership, and the ability to deliver seamless, user-centric digital experiences at scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead the frontend architecture and technical direction across products and teams

Design and build scalable React-based applications and component libraries

Develop performant, SEO-friendly interfaces using Astro (SSR, static-first architecture)

Establish and maintain design systems, reusable UI components, and frontend standards

Optimize frontend performance (code splitting, lazy loading, rendering optimization)

Architect and implement micro-frontend or modular frontend architectures

Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, and Backend teams for seamless integrations

Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices

Mentor engineers and elevate frontend engineering standards across teams

Ensure accessibility, security, and cross-browser compatibility of applications

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

9+ years of frontend development experience

Strong proficiency in React (Hooks, Context API, state management libraries)

Experience with Astro framework (SSR, static sites, hybrid rendering)

Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3

Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and scalability

Experience with REST APIs / GraphQL integration

Hands-on experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows

Strong knowledge of frontend performance optimization and accessibility

 

Good to Have

Experience with micro-frontends architecture or monorepos

Knowledge of Next.js, Tailwind, or Headless CMS architectures

Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG)

Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library)

Exposure to AI-powered UI or personalization systems
