Merchandising Accountant

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁

Al Razzaq Fibres (Pvt.) Ltd is looking for a Merchandising Accountant to manage the financial operations of the merchandising department. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in merchandising, accounts payable, vendor reconciliation, purchase reconciliation, costing support, and financial reporting at Head Office, Karachi.

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification.

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:- 3–5 years of relevant experience in merchandising, accounts payable, or finance within the textile, apparel, garment, or retail industry.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

- Process vendor invoices related to fabric, trims, accessories, garments, and other merchandising purchases.

- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments to local and international suppliers.

- Perform vendor ledger reconciliation and resolve payment discrepancies.

- Reconcile purchase orders, goods receipts, invoices, and payment records.

- Coordinate with merchandisers regarding purchase orders, costing sheets, and supplier settlements.

- Verify merchandising expenses and ensure compliance with approved budgets.

- Prepare weekly and monthly payable reports, outstanding summaries, and reconciliation statements.

- Assist in product costing by verifying procurement and supplier costs.

- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

- Coordinate with the Finance department during month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls.

- Prepare MIS reports related to merchandising expenditures and supplier payments.
