Manager - Procurement Raw Material

Ismail Industries Limited is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Manager - Procurement Raw Material to lead raw material sourcing, optimize procurement strategies, and ensure timely availability of quality materials to support business objectives.

Location: Karachi

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or a specialized certification is preferred.

- 6-8 years of relevant procurement experience

- Proven experience in commodity buying and supplier negotiations

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hands-on experience with SAP (MM Module)

- Sound understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop category and long-term sourcing strategies for key raw materials in alignment with business growth and market dynamics.

- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and develop strategic suppliers while driving supplier consolidation, localization, value engineering, and long-term partnerships.

- Conduct supplier performance reviews covering quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and sustainability while monitoring supplier, commodity, geopolitical, and climatic risks to ensure supply continuity. 

- Manage RFQs, tendering, contracts, and purchase orders while delivering procurement savings and cost optimization.

- Monitor commodity markets, inflation, and currency fluctuations to recommend hedging or forward buying strategies where applicable.

- Collaborate with Quality Assurance for supplier audits, approvals and corrective actions while ensuring compliance with Halal, FSSC/BRCGS, regulatory, and internal procurement standards.

- Support new product development through supplier identification, material commercialization, and contingency sourcing strategies. 

- Enhance procurement processes through process automation and data-driven insights.
