Job Title: Full-time English News Writer

Overview:
Times of Karachi, a leading digital media news organization in Karachi, is seeking a Full-time English News Writer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and reporting English news stories for the news website. He/she will also be responsible for producing scripts for video stories. The candidate should have a strong interest in news, particularly local news of Karachi.

Responsibilities:
* Write and report on English news stories for news websites.
* Produce accurate, balanced, and engaging news content.
* Research and report on breaking news stories in a timely manner.
* Write scripts for video stories.
* Collaborate with the video production team to ensure that video scripts align with the organization's goals.
* Write captions for social media platforms.
* Attend press conferences, events and conduct interviews when required.

Requirements:
* 2 years of experience in English news writing/reporting.
* A degree in Journalism/Mass Communication, Humanities, International Relations or a relevant field.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
* Strong research and analytical skills.
* Basic understanding of writing captions for social media platforms.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
* Passion for news and current events, with a particular interest in local news of Karachi.
