🚀 We're Hiring: Engineering Manager - Platform (Remote – Pakistan 🇵🇰)

Are you passionate about building high-scale backend systems and leading engineering teams that solve real-world problems? Swvl is looking for an Engineering Manager - Platform to lead the development of a core internal platform powering logistics, routing, scheduling, and real-time operations at scale.

📍 Location: Remote – Pakistan  

💼 Employment Type: Full-time  

This isn't your typical CRUD application. You'll work on systems where performance, data consistency, optimization, and scalability are critical to success.

What You'll Be Doing  

✅ Lead a talented engineering team while staying hands-on with the code when needed.  

✅ Own end-to-end delivery, from ambiguous requirements to production.  

✅ Drive architecture and system design for scalable backend services.  

✅ Build solutions for routing, scheduling, workflow orchestration, and optimization.  

✅ Collaborate closely with Product and Operations to solve complex business challenges.

What We're Looking For  

✔️ 6–10+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience.  

✔️ 2+ years leading engineering teams (or a strong Tech Lead ready for the next step).  

✔️ Strong expertise in Node.js, system design, and data modeling (MongoDB or similar).  

✔️ Experience owning production systems end-to-end.

Nice to Have  

⭐ Experience with real-time/event-driven systems.  

⭐ Search technologies (Elastic, Atlas Search, indexing strategies).  

⭐ Experience in logistics, mobility, routing, or optimization platforms.  

⭐ Experience building internal platforms rather than only customer-facing features.
