📢 We Are Hiring – Cyber Security Associate - North

Location: Islamabad (Onsite)

CyMax Technologies is seeking a motivated Cyber Security Associate with a strong interest in cybersecurity and risk management. This role involves assistance in implementing security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VAPT), supporting disaster recovery initiatives, and helping safeguard the organization's systems and networks against emerging threats.

What We're Looking For:

● Develop and implement security protocols, procedures and systems to protect computer networks and systems from unauthorized access, theft, damage or corruption.

● Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and issues with computer systems and networks.

● Investigate any suspected security breaches or violations and recommend appropriate courses of action.

● Identify, validate and document security vulnerabilities.

● Develop and implement disaster recovery and contingency plans in case of security breach or other emergencies.

● Regularly analyze security logs and alerts to detect suspicious activities or potential threats.

● Participate in the containment, eradication, and recovery phases of the incident response lifecycle under supervision.

● Assist in provisioning and de-provisioning user access, enforcing least-privilege principles, and conducting periodic access reviews.

● Track versions, configurations, and renewal schedules for cybersecurity software and platforms.

● Help develop and deliver security awareness content to employees, and track participation or test results (e.g., phishing simulations).

● Research and test new tools under the guidance of senior team members to enhance the security posture.

● Participate in the review and triage of vulnerabilities discovered through VAPT activities.

Job Specification:

– Basic Qualification:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related field.

– Experience (No. Of Years):

Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in information security with a focus on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT).

– Soft Skills:

1. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

2. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with others.

3. Strong knowledge of relevant cyber security regulations and compliance requirements.

4. Strong understanding of networking technologies, protocols and security systems.
