Position: Assistant Manager Production - Home Textiles

Departments: Bedsheet, Quilting, Pillow & Towel   

Job Time: Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm  

Location: SITE Area, Karachi

Position Overview

Responsible for coordinating and monitoring production activities across Bedsheet, Quilting, Pillow, and Towel departments to achieve production targets on time while maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive production requirements from Planning and ensure timely achievement of weekly and monthly targets.

- Prepare and implement daily production plans based on machine capacity, manpower, raw material availability, order priority, and shipment deadlines.

- Ensure effective utilization of machines and manpower with minimum idle time and production delays.

- Coordinate with Production Incharges across all four departments to ensure achievement of assigned targets.

- Monitor daily production against planned targets and take corrective action for shortfalls or delays.

- Resolve routine production-related issues and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.

- Maintain required quality standards while maximizing production output.

- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs, wastage, overtime, idle time, changeovers, and delays.

- Coordinate with Planning, QC, Maintenance, Stores, and Logistics for smooth production flow.

- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, accessories, machinery, and manpower as per production plans.

- Monitor urgent and time-sensitive orders to ensure timely completion for packing and shipment.

- Review weekly production reports and identify delays, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

- Provide regular updates to management on production progress, pending orders, capacity utilization, and major production issues.

Required Experience & Skills

- 5 years of relevant experience in Home Textile / Textile Manufacturing, preferably across multiple production departments.

- Strong production planning, problem-solving, coordination, and team management skills.

- Good understanding of production processes, machine utilization, quality standards, and production targets.
