We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead our bookkeeping team in a fully remote capacity.

Position Overview:
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee a team of bookkeepers, ensuring all client accounts are maintained accurately, deadlines are met, and work is performed in accordance with company and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both the team and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the bookkeeping team.
Review and approve financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations prepared by the team.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of client financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes.
Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Implement and maintain best practices for bookkeeping processes and workflow efficiency.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for escalated client inquiries or issues.
Collaborate with management to improve operational processes and client service delivery.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent qualification preferred).
5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field.
2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Strong understanding of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
