Switch Communications is Hiring IT Support Engineer 📍Location: Islamabad | Onsite 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞: This role will be the first POC for all office employees on IT matters. Keeping the day-to-day office running devices, connectivity, telephony, AV, and peripherals. It also supervises the intern and ensures L1 helpdesk tasks are handled correctly. Issues beyond office IT scope are escalated promptly and not investigated independently. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: • First-line IT support for all office staff hardware, software, connectivity, and account issues • Manage employee device lifecycle procurement, imaging, deployment, tracking, and decommission • Maintain office network basic switch troubleshooting, access point checks, and cable patching • Manage office CCTV and NVR footage access, maintenance, and storage monitoring • Manage office PBX and telephony extension changes, user moves, and basic troubleshooting • Maintain meeting room AV across all floors daily readiness checks before business hours • Manage printer fleet consumables, drivers, and network print queue configuration • Maintain IT asset register all office devices tagged, assigned, and recorded accurately • Supervise IT Support Intern assign tasks, review ticket quality, and provide day-to-day guidance • Escalate infrastructure, security, network, or cloud issues immediately not independently investigated 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: • 1 to 2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience in a corporate environment • Windows 10 and 11 desktop support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting • Basic networking IP addressing, Wi-Fi, cable patching, and switch port identification • Hardware support laptop, desktop, printer, and peripheral setup and maintenance • Microsoft Office 365 desktop applications end-user support and troubleshooting • AD Onboarding • Helpdesk ticketing system experience • Clear verbal and written communication with non-technical users 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝: • Experience supervising junior staff or interns • CompTIA A Plus or equivalent • Windows configuration • AD implementation • Experience with asset management platforms 📩 To apply: Send your resume to careers@switch.com.pk with the subject line “IT Support Engineer"
