Looking to hire an Sr. Desktop Support Officer exceptional communication skills (US Central Time Zone).


The incumbent should have:

- General PC troubleshooting skills, including system power and boot issues in a Windows environment.

- Basic network skills, including network and server connectivity, SMB file sharing, and Internet access.

- Windows 10/11 general operations and troubleshooting, including application launching, file management and general Windows settings.

- Familiarity with Windows firewall and basic firewall concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with endpoint protection products, including troubleshooting quarantined files and blocked.

- Monitoring and managing Windows machines, resource usage, patch management and business software installation.

- Basic usage of Microsoft Office 365 desktop Apps, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, including account sign-in and licensing.

Microsoft 365 services, including OneDrive and SharePoint and syncing online file libraries via the OneDrive desktop app.

- Microsoft Teams usage, including creating and managing teams, managing file shares, holding video conferences, using group chat.

- Adding/Connecting, Using, Troubleshooting locally-connected USB and shared network printers; installing print drivers and configuring printer settings.

- Basic Chromium-based Web browser experience, including bookmark and tab management; clearing browser data; saved password management.

Windows Remote Desktop Protocol, including connecting to RDP sessions, RDP client settings, basic connectivity toubleshooting.

- Understanding of basic security protocols; including principle of least-access and procedure for escalating privilege issues.

- Ability to triage issues, handle directly when possible, and escalate and track resolution of advanced issues that are outside of own skillset.

- Ability to patiently and empathetically assist frustrated and/or inexperienced end users.


The incumbent should have atleast 3 years of prior experience.
