Sr. Backend Engineer

Sr. Backend Engineer (NodeJS - Remote - Pakistan Only)

Must Have:

- Must be fluent in English speaking, reading and writing 

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software

- Proven ability to contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Back-End Skills:

- Proficiency in Typescript and experience with back-end frameworks like NodeJS.

- Strong expertise in distributed systems, APIs (RESTful, GraphQL), and modern design patterns (e.g., event-driven architecture, serverless, CQRS).

Strong understanding of database design, RDBMS concepts, and experience with NoSQL. Additionally, familiarity with ODM (MongoDB).

Proficiency in testing tools - Jest, e2e (Cucumber / Cypress / Playwright).

- Front-End Skills (1+ years of experience):

- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Typescript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.

- Expertise in modern Typescript frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

Nice to Have:

- Experience as a Software Engineer in a fintech company or a wealth management firm. 

- Experience participating in Agile deliveries and utilizing tooling such as Asana, Jira, or Salesforce.

- Experience with work orchestration or other related automation platforms is a plus. Open-source or active participation in developer communities is also a plus.
