Senior WordPress Developer

Applab Qatar is looking for a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in modern WordPress development practices, experienced in cloud-based environments, and capable of handling complex technical challenges. This role requires strong technical skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

 

Location : ISLAMABAD

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress applications, plugins, and themes.

Perform code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.

Manage application deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines (in collaboration with the DevOps team).

Conduct advanced debugging, including troubleshooting on Azure resources (App Service, VMs, API Management, etc.).

Work with REST APIs, Composer, and modern PHP development workflows.

Provide technical guidance and support to developers within the WordPress team.

Ensure performance optimization, security, and scalability in WordPress applications.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, custom development).

Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and REST API integration.

Experience with Docker and working in environments that leverage CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency with Composer and modern PHP development practices.

Familiarity with Azure cloud services.

Proven experience in debugging complex application issues across both code and infrastructure.

Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Deep understanding of performance optimization, security best practices, and scalability in WordPress.
