We're hiring a Data & Backend Engineer at Aryaan Technologies.
We build AI systems for established companies running old custom software. The hard part isn't the AI. It's getting clean data out of an ERP written a decade ago that nobody documented — and serving it through an API our application can actually use.
That's the job.
You'll:
→ Reverse-engineer undocumented production databases
→ Build extraction pipelines that survive load-shedding and recover on their own
→ Design the clean data model our AI layer runs on
→ Build and document the API that feeds it — I'm building the application myself, so you'll get feedback in hours, not sprints
→ Deploy on-prem behind client firewalls and keep it alive
You need:
• 4+ years of production pipeline and backend work — not dashboards
• SQL deep enough to read a 200-table schema with no documentation
• Python, Postgres, FastAPI or similar — clean, documented REST APIs
• ODBC/JDBC into SQL Server and MySQL
• Incremental, idempotent extraction — including tables with no updated_at column
• Docker, Linux, and enough networking to work behind a client firewall
Bonus: dbt, legacy ERP integration, manufacturing or distribution data.
Lahore / Faisalabad, with client site visits during onboarding.
