QA Automation Engineer

We're hiring a QA Automation Engineer at Entropik Labs.

We're looking for someone to own quality across our AI powered products, spanning mobile apps, web, APIs and backend services. Remote, based in Pakistan, full time, 2 to 4 years of experience.

You'll design and run the test strategy: deciding what gets automated, what needs a scripted manual pass, and what is better caught by a production monitor than by a test at all. You'll build and maintain automated suites for APIs, backend services and full workflows, and wire them into CI so they run on every change rather than once a sprint.

Beyond that, you'll validate every release before it ships and verify it again after deployment. You'll test Android and iOS builds across devices, run functional, regression, smoke and exploratory passes on web, and check that data stays consistent as it moves between systems.

A meaningful part of the job is production. You'll watch dashboards, logs and alerts, run periodic health checks and synthetic tests, and handle L1 and L2 triage when something breaks. When an incident happens you'll work with engineering to find the root cause and track it through to closure, then write up what happened so it doesn't happen the same way twice.

Why it takes a particular kind of person

The systems you'd be testing don't fail cleanly. Nothing crashes with a helpful stack trace. Instead a workflow completes with the wrong value written to the database, or a response comes back stale, or a feature works perfectly until it meets a real user on a bad network. Finding that class of problem takes genuine curiosity about how things break, not just diligence in working through a test plan.

What we're looking for

- Two or more years testing software in a real release cycle, with a solid part of it automated in code. Hands on experience with at least one automation framework, whether that's Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Pytest, Robot Framework or Katalon. 

- Comfort testing REST APIs directly, working knowledge of SQL for verifying what actually landed in the database, and enough Linux, Docker and command line ability to stand up an environment yourself. 

- Familiarity with monitoring, logs and troubleshooting, and the appetite to own more of that over time. 

- Strong written communication, because a lot of this work is documented rather than discussed.

- Experience with AI, LLM or voice applications is a plus, as is load testing, mobile automation with Appium, observability tooling, or time spent on a support rotation.
