Oxiliry is Hiring: Property Accountant (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to manage accounting activities for assigned properties, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, month-end closing, and financial reporting.

About the Role:

As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for assigned properties while coordinating with property management and the accounting team. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage property-level financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting activities for assigned commercial and/or residential properties

• Review accounts payable invoices and support weekly AP check runs

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate property cash balances

• Monitor and project property cash flows and upcoming funding requirements

• Process month-end entries, accruals, mortgage payments, and payroll transfers

• Reconcile accounts receivable, monitor aging, and identify collection issues

• Review property reports including rent rolls, receivables, payables, and income summaries

• Prepare monthly trial balances, balance sheets, budget comparison reports, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP

• Support lender reporting, year-end tax reporting, and annual audits

• Coordinate with property management and respond to accounting-related inquiries

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Hands-on experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, or a closely related accounting function

• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing

• Experience preparing financial statements, trial balances, and supporting schedules

• Good understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles

• Experience managing accounting for commercial and/or residential properties is preferred

• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time-management skills

• Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively during U.S. business hours
