Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Progressive Group of Companies is hiring Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for its sister concerns Power Plus (Pvt.) Ltd (manufacturing FMCG products such as Coil, Dry Battery Cells, Shoe Polish, etc.) and Pak Ghiza (Pvt.) Ltd (manufacturing food products). This position is based at Landhi Industrial Area, Karachi.

Job Purpose:
To supervise and support the maintenance operations of mechanical equipment and machinery across both FMCG and food product manufacturing units. The role involves assisting in preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring smooth operations, and gaining hands-on experience to build a strong technical foundation.

Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical
systems and equipment.
· Support troubleshooting activities under senior guidance to resolve
mechanical issues.
· Monitor daily maintenance activities and ensure proper record-keeping.
· Learn and assist in installation and commissioning of new machines.
· Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure minimum downtime in
production lines.
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
· Develop understanding of spare parts inventory management.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and
efficiency.

Skills and Competencies:
· Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and machinery.
· Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and manuals.
· Willingness to learn troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to safety.

Qualifications & Experience:
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fresh Graduates
are encouraged to apply).
· Experience: Not required, but any internship or project in FMCG or food
manufacturing will be a plus.
