📍 Location: Islamabad | Onsite

𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

Switch Communications is looking for a hands-on 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱/𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 who has personally built and scaled live products. This role requires a strong leader who actively codes, drives architecture, and brings modern tools (including AI) into the team.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

 • Lead and mentor backend team while staying actively involved in development. 

 • Design and build scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js or Java. 

 • Own architecture, performance, and reliability of live products with real users. 

 • Enforce best practices (Clean Architecture, SOLID, code quality). 

 • Drive AI/tool adoption and ensure implementation across the team. 

 • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. 

 • Oversee APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).

 • Ensure clear API and system documentation, versioning, and best practices. 

 • Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools with well-structured prompts for faster and better outcomes. 

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

 • 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience. 

 • Strong expertise in Node.js or Java. 

 • Proven experience building live, scalable products yourself. 

 • Solid understanding of APIs, and databases (SQL/NoSQL). 

 • Experience with cloud, CI/CD, and system design. 

 • Strong leadership with a “lead by doing” mindset. 

 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 / 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸

 • Languages/Frameworks: Node.js or Java 

 • Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, Redis 

 • Cloud: AWS / Azure 

 • DevOps: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git 

 • Messaging: Kafka / RabbitMQ (or similar) 

 • Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus 

 • Documentation: Swagger / OpenAPI, Postman

 • AI Tools: ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools
