Job Title: IT Intern

About the Role

Second Cup Pakistan is looking for a motivated and hands-on IT Intern to join our technology support team. In this role, you will assist with day-to-day IT operations, including setting up workstations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing local area network (LAN) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Hardware Support:  

Assist in assembling, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.

🔹 Software Installation:  

Help deploy, update, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux) and essential productivity software.

🔹 Network & Cabling:  

Support the IT team in organizing, running, and terminating Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6), and testing LAN connections.

🔹 Help Desk Support:  

Act as the first point of contact for basic technical queries, helping employees resolve password resets, connectivity issues, and hardware-related problems.

🔹 Inventory Management:  

Track IT assets, maintain hardware inventory, and ensure the server room/storage area remains clean and organized.

Requirements & Skills

✔ Recent graduate  

✔ Fundamental understanding of PC hardware components and basic troubleshooting  

✔ Familiarity with common operating systems and standard business software  

✔ Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts, including IP addresses, switches, and routers  

✔ Willingness to perform physical tasks such as running cables, setting up workstations, and organizing server racks  

✔ Strong communication skills with a quick-learning and problem-solving mindset
