Data QA Engineer

Macrosoft Pakistan is looking for a Data QA Engineer 

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester with expertise in automation testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of both manual and automation testing processes, with a focus on ETL testing. You will work closely with the development team to ensure high-quality deliverables, contributing to our Agile Product Development cycle.

Requirements:

· 2+ years of experience in ETL, DWH (Snowflake)/Database manual and automation testing

· Good knowledge of ETL concepts and processes – data pipe, data orchestration

· Conceptual knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Data modelling .

· Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium or similar

· Proficiency in manual and automation testing in an Agile environment

· Experience in writing and executing test cases and scripts

· Hands-on experience with Automation Scripting Languages like Python or Java

· Advanced knowledge of SQL ( RDS, Athena, NoSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)

· Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts for ETL processes and other related applications

· Work with developers and product managers to create test plans, test cases, and ensure coverage of all functional requirements

· Collaborate within an Agile environment to test and validate software solutions, particularly focusing on ETL pipelines

· Perform data validation, data transformation, and load testing to ensure correctness, performance, and data integrity of the ETL processes

· Debug issues related to data and automation scripts, and collaborate with teams to resolve them

· Provide detailed reports and feedback on testing outcomes, and document test results and defects

· Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes for efficiency and reliability

Mandatory Skills:

· Web Automation Testing Tools: Experience with Selenium or similar tools for automating web applications

· Expertise in manual and automated testing of web applications, including performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility testing, with proficiency in tools like Selenium, JMeter, or similar.

· Manual and Automation Testing: Excellent experience in both manual and automation testing in Agile environments

· Automation Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python and Java

· Advanced Skills: Expertise in Snowflake with hands-on experience in Athena, NoSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
