Cloud System Architect

Z2C is looking for a Cloud System’s Architect (OTT Platforms) to join it's Begin team.

We are looking for a skilled Cloud System Architect to join our team. The role includes designing, implementing, and managing hybrid cloud solutions, particularly for OTT platforms. You will ensure our cloud infrastructure meets performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute cloud migration strategies for on-premises applications, including lift and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecting approaches. Design hybrid cloud deployments for seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.

Ensuring the security and integrity of the database by implementing access controls, encryption, and data validation mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access and data corruption.

Designing and implementing scalable and highly available database solutions to handle increasing data volumes and ensure uninterrupted access to data.

Developing backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data against loss or corruption, including regular backups, disaster recovery plans, and data replication.

Implementing data governance policies and ensuring compliance with requirements such as ISO-27001 and OWASP to protect sensitive data and ensure data privacy.

Planning and executing data migration projects to transfer data between different systems or platforms, as well as integrating data from multiple sources to provide a unified view of the data.

Collaborating with other IT teams, business stakeholders, and end-users to understand requirements, communicate database solutions effectively, and provide support and training as needed.

Implement cloud automation using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Kubernetes for efficient deployment and management. Integrate data science for advanced analytics, machine learning, and improved user experiences.

Develop strategies for ensuring 100% uptime and high availability of applications, including failover, load balancing, and disaster recovery plans.

Lead the design and implementation of microservice architecture, including determining the number of microservices needed, defining their responsibilities, and designing communication protocols between them.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and drive solutions. Design CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams for seamless deployment and scaling. Establish DevOps best practices for smooth software delivery and operation.

Analyze and optimize the architecture for heavy transaction loads, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance for client service applications.

Lead development teams in architectural decisions, coding practices, and performance optimization. Stay updated on emerging tech, select tools for scalability, and ensure architectural consistency. Conduct code reviews, maintain quality, and foster best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 

5 - 7 years of experience in a similar position as a Cloud/Systems Solution’s architect, with a strong focus on building and delivering successful projects on scale.

Must have proficiency in one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including a deep understanding of their services and capabilities.

Must possess strong conceptual knowledge of CDNs and edge networks.

Proven history of architecting and implementing solutions for scalability, performance, and security.

Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and VPNs, as well as cloud-specific networking services like VPCs and CDN.

Possess Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access control, identity management, and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and OWASP etc.

Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for configuration management and orchestration, as well as scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.

Familiarity with IaaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

Must have comprehensive understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.

Must have experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch for tracking performance metrics and logging tools like ELK stack or Splunk for centralized log management.

Require strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance in cloud environments.
