Backend Development Specialist

Switch Communications is Hiring 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁

📍 Location: Islamabad | Onsite

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

 • Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend services, APIs for Switch Communication’s platforms.

 • Collaborate with frontend, mobile, DevOps, and product teams to deliver secure, and high-performance features.

 • Implement backend best practices including Clean Architecture, reusable modules, efficient code structures, and secure coding standards.

 • Write efficient and well-structured code using modern backend technologies (Node.js or PHP).

 • Ensure database optimization (SQL & NoSQL), indexing, query performance, and data integrity.

 • Integrate internal and external systems including payment gateways, SMS/voice APIs, communication modules, and third-party services.

 • Conduct unit, integration, and API testing to ensure high reliability and minimal downtime.

 • Implement caching strategies, balancing load, and performance improvements to support high-traffic environments.

 • Ensure backend security following OWASP, encryption, authentication, and authorization best practices.

 • Troubleshoot critical issues, improve system stability, and guide performance enhancements 

 • Contribute to sprint planning, task prioritization, and timely delivery 

 • Maintain and enforce clear technical documentation and development standards

 • Ability to effectively use AI tools to improve development speed and quality. 

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 & 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

 • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

 • 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.

 • Strong experience in Node.js or PHP.

 • Hands-on experience with SQL & NoSQL databases ( MySQL, Redis, etc.).

 • Strong understanding of microservices, Clean Architecture, and containerized deployments.

 • Familiarity with message queues and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

 • Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

 • Understanding of backend security practices including authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.
