About the Role

We are seeking to recruit a Full-Time Trainee Accountant with 1–2 years of relevant experience. Candidates with demonstrable UK practice experience only. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and career-focused individual who is keen to develop within a professional accountancy practice. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing professional development, supporting progression from core competencies to advanced technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of year-end accounts, CT600s, and Corporation Tax computations

Coordination and management of VAT and administrative duties

Review of bookkeeping records and preparation of VAT returns

Ensuring statutory deadlines are met for:

VAT

Payroll

Statutory Accounts

Corporation Tax Returns

Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients

Onboarding and managing new clients

Responding to client queries in line with company standards

Supporting ad hoc office duties as required

Skills & Experience

1–2 years’ experience in an accountancy firm (preferred)

Skills & Experience:

Strong desire to build a long-term career in practice accountancy

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Excel
