Position: Manager – Taxation & Compliance Affairs
Location: Islamabad / Rawalpindi
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable local, provincial, and federal tax laws.
• Manage corporate tax matters including income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other statutory levies.
• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with FBR regulations and other regulatory authorities.
• Handle tax audits, notices, assessments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
• Coordinate with finance and accounts departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and documentation.
• Maintain proper record-keeping of tax documents, payments, and compliance reports.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and implement effective tax planning strategies.
• Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors, and legal advisors when required.
• Prepare and submit regular tax compliance reports to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or relevant field.
• Professional certification such as CA (Finalist), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent will be preferred.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in taxation and compliance affairs, preferably in construction, real estate, or group of companies.
• Strong knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, and other applicable tax laws of Pakistan.
• Experience in handling tax audits and regulatory matters.
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
