Manager - Weaving (Waterjet)

Position: Manager - Weaving (Waterjet)

Key Responsibilities:

-Oversee and manage all operations of the Waterjet Weaving Department to ensure optimal production performance and fabric quality.

-Plan, organize, and control daily weaving activities to achieve targeted efficiency, quality, and output levels.

-Monitor loom performance, machine utilization, and downtime to maintain smooth and consistent operations.

-Lead and supervise shift in-charges, operators, and technical staff to ensure seamless production flow.

-Coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, and Quality teams for timely issue resolution and process improvement.

-Implement best practices for process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.

-Ensure adherence to fabric construction specifications, yarn quality standards, and buyer requirements.

-Maintain accurate production data and generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports using Power BI and Excel dashboards.

-Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and company operational standards within the department.

Required Skills:

-In-depth technical knowledge of Waterjet weaving machinery, process parameters, and fabric structures.

-Proven experience in fabric quality control, loom efficiency improvement, and manpower management.

-Proficiency in Power BI and Excel dashboard reporting for production monitoring and data-driven decision-making is mandatory.

-Familiarity with ERP and production tracking systems.

-Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for mechanical and process-related issues.

-Solid understanding of yarn types, weaving design adjustments, and loom settings.

-Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional coordination.

-Detail-oriented and proactive approach toward operational excellence.

-Ability to perform under pressure and meet production targets within deadlines.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or a related discipline.

-5–8 years of relevant experience in Waterjet weaving operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Location:

-Site-2, Near Ahsan Abad, Super Highway, Karachi.
