ActiveIsmail Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Category Planning Manager to support category growth, drive data-backed decision making, and enhance in-market execution across channels in Karachi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of annual and quarterly category plans aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze sales, market share, pricing, and promotional data to generate actionable insights and support pricing reviews, promotion evaluations, and ROI analysis.
- Assist in product portfolio management, including new product launches, renovations, and delisting initiatives.
- Coordinate with Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure execution of category initiatives and support channel initiatives across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce.
- Track category KPIs and prepare dashboards, reports, and performance reviews while monitoring competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate the execution of POSM deployments, including CTUs, shelf talkers, posters, and gondolas, and evaluate their effectiveness in trade.
- Conduct on-ground coaching of merchandisers and support the execution of planograms, Must Stock Lists (MSL), shelf strategies, and category priorities to enhance in-store visibility and share of shelf.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelorโs degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is preferred
- 3โ5 years of experience in FMCG marketing, category management, brand management, or trade marketing
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Strong understanding of FMCG categories, shopper behavior, and channel dynamics
- Strong understanding of pricing, promotions and margins
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
