Performance Monitoring & Optimization • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance issues. • Analyze slow queries and optimize SQL execution plans. • Implement indexing strategies, partitioning, and query tuning to enhance performance. Backup and Recovery • Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies. • Perform full, incremental, and point-in-time recovery when required. • Conduct periodic backup validation and disaster recovery testing. High Availability & Replication Configure and manage high availability and replication technologies including: • Oracle Data Guard • MySQL Replication / Group Replication • MongoDB Replica Sets • PostgreSQL Streaming Replication • DB2 HADR Monitor replication status and resolve replication issues to ensure system availability. Database Security • Manage database users, roles, and privileges. • Implement security best practices and data protection policies. • Monitor unauthorized access and security vulnerabilities. Database Monitoring & Maintenance • Monitor database health, disk space, and resource utilization. • Perform regular maintenance tasks including: Index rebuilds Statistics updates Log management • Ensure database uptime and availability. Troubleshooting & Incident Management • Diagnose and resolve database-related incidents. • Analyze logs and performance metrics. • Support application teams in resolving database issues.
