Job Title: Head of Product Development

Location: Landhi Industrial Area, Karachi

Key Role 

· Developing new fabric qualities, blends, and finishes.

· Close working with customers/brands to develop fabrics according to their specific requirements in terms of design, texture, performance, and sustainability.

· Work on value addition through finishes, blends, design, dyeing techniques and technical performance improvement. Optimize the process route to improve process cost. 

· Mill Collection should align with seasonal and fashion industry demand.

· Coordination with the weaving and processing team to develop a feasible fabric and to ensure consistency between development and bulk production.

· Use of sustainable fibers, processes, and chemical alternatives.

· Collaboration and partnership with global chemical, dyes and fiber suppliers.

· Prepare fabric hangers, swatches, and seasonal collection for meetings and exhibitions and customer sampling requests.

· Maintain sample room (sample stocks) as per defined SOP. 

· Manage Digital Collection, Print Material & social media with input from Sales & Marketing. 

Required Experience & Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, or Fashion Technology.

· 7–12 years of relevant experience in fabric development, preferably in a mill environment.

· Deep knowledge of fiber types, yarn construction, fabric weaving techniques, dyeing & finishing.

· Strong understanding of fabric testing, compliance, and buyer standards (ISO, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, etc.).

· Experience working with fashion brands, apparel designers, or export marketing teams on fabric proposals.

· Familiarity with sustainable and performance textiles is a strong advantage.

· Knowledge of digital tools for presentation.

· Proven ability to present fabric stories, mood boards, and innovation decks to international buyers.
