Assistant Manager - Demand Planner

Ismail Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager - Demand Planner to strengthen demand forecasting, drive cross-functional planning alignment, and support data-driven decision-making from our Head Office in Karachi.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage short and mid-term demand forecasts at SKU, channel, and customer level.

- Leverage statistical models, historical trends, and market insights to enhance forecast quality while continuously monitoring forecast accuracy and bias.

- Drive the demand review within the S&OP cycle, aligning Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams on a unified demand plan.

- Consolidate commercial inputs such as promotions, innovations, and market dynamics into the overall demand plan.

- Analyze forecast vs. actual performance, identify key variance drivers, and recommend corrective actions.

- Track and report planning KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias, service level, and inventory health.

- Provide scenario analysis and translate data into actionable insights to support leadership decision-making.

- Support the successful planning and execution of product launches, promotions, and portfolio changes.

- Drive continuous improvement in demand planning tools, processes, and data governance to promote a data-driven planning culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field

- 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or S&OP, preferably within the FMCG sector

- Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP/APO, Kinaxis)

- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills

- Strong PowerPoint presentation skills to translate complex data into clear business insights
